One of the ways that we will flourish together as we worship and serve will be as we discover community. We see community as something we discover together rather than something that is overly structured. Our desire is to come alongside the relationships that will form and equip and resource as much as we can. Some structure is not only inevitable, it is necessary, but we want a sense of curiosity and discovery to be what fuels our community rather than that of plugging people into groups or a system of care.
Some will discover community in our Sunday gatherings and given where they are in their lives journey and unfolding faith, that will be enough. For now. Our hope is however, that as trust grows and the Spirit of God deepens our unity and friendship that a reach for more connection will happen. As organic as our posture is, we do value intentionality and thoughtfulness in the area of community development, particularly in the area of pastoral care. We have a team of people that are giving attention here.
"I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” - Brené Brown
